Size Matters

Since solar panels of a particular type are relatively similar in power generation efficiency, the main factor in the amount of power generated by solar panels is the size of the panel.

Of course the panels have to be mounted and engineered correctly but generally speaking, the bigger the square footage of solar panels, the more power generated.

When designing a solar powered light, solar cells must be of sufficient size to generate high power for good light output. When you see a solar light with a "postage stamp" size solar panel, you can be sure this light will do no more than glow.
